                          DONATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROGRESS

                Below are all the requirements to bring Mondolsemaram School up to a basic level of education.
                You can easily see what the school already has and what you can do to improve the facilities
                and lives of both students and teachers there.

           Number of students: 280
           Number of teachers: 5 women, 1 male, 1 male director
           Teacher's monthly salary: Single teacher $35. Teacher with a family $60                         
                                                                             

We chose Mondolsemaram School as our pilot project due to the high level of community involvement. There is a Buddhist temple next to the school which is managed by the monk in the picture. He had originally built the school due to the lack of primary education offered in the area. He is always trying to develop it using his fantastic craftsmanship. The entire village of Mondolsemaram is very proud of their head monk. Beside him, stands Gosal who is a father of two of the students and an excellent translator and local businessman. Without the assistance of Gosal it would have been difficult to establish a good repore with the community, school teachers, director and monk. The photo on the right is the monk's work shop where he makes things for the school (including the buildings) A very talented man indeed!

Unfortunately, this programme is not administered at Mondolsemaram due to the lack of human resources. However, the children's caloric intake surpasses that of most of the other schools in the region. Nearly all children receive atleast two meals per day. It is hoped that Koh Kong Kids will be able to launch this programme in the future.
